3000) Story of Khyzyr-Ilias or St. George
Posted on 2:00 AM by Unknown
From (Turki, Europe and Great Steppe) by Adji Murad; Moscow, 2004
Document based on a historical research by Murad Adji relates to common cultural heritage of Turkish/Armenian people.
The story is about "Khyzyr-Ilias" or "St. George" as he is recognized by either side. Turkish people celebrate 5/6 of May each year to commemorate him and this tradition is not related to Islam. Armenians and other Christians also observed this
It would have a positive impact on perception of people on either side once they realize there is yet another aspect of life they share
